QuietCare Home Health Security System
April, 2010
Caregivers require accurate and timely information to provide effective and efficient care to elders living at home alone.
QuietCare measures Activites of Daily Living (wakeup, bathroom usage, activity, meal preparation, medication handling) and room temperature, through the use of wireless sensors. QuietCare "learns" the normal behavior of an individual and alerts the caregiver if a potentially dangerous condition is emerging. Specificaly QC notifies selected individuals if a senior has not exited the bedroom by a specified hour, if they have not exited the bathroom within an hour, if their nighttime bathroom habits have changed, if meal preparation has changed or if the temperature of the house is too hot or too cold. With this information, caregivers can interdict before a problem becomes an emergency. Caregivers are alerted by email, text message, pager, fax or telephone call, and all information is accessible via secure web page. QuietCare provides caregivers with 24/7 monitoring, clear, insightful and actionable information, and peace of mind.
A PERS system is available with QC(from ADT Home Companion). QuietCare is available for purchase by institutions from Living Independently Group Inc, and by individuals from ADT.
