Mississippi: Medicaid Agency Funds EHR System
Posted: August 7 2009
Shared Health, Inc. just received approval to build and operate a statewide electronic health record (EHR) system for the Mississippi Division of Medicaid. The system, which also includes an e-prescribing application and clinical decision support tools, is expected to improve patient care coordination and patient safety for the division's 600,000 beneficiaries. The Chattanooga-based company will also help Medicaid physicians adopt their own EHR systems.
