Arizona: Older People Aren't Enrolling in Federal PHR Program
Posted: July 31 2009
Older people in Arizona aren't rushing to enroll in Medicare PHR Choice, a one-year pilot program in Arizona and Utah that encourages Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries to store their health information in personal health records (PHR). The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) administers the $2.5 million program, which began in January. CMS, which provides two years' worth of claims data for each PHR, has not yet decided whether to extend the program for another year.
