Bill To Create Statewide EHR System Advances in Alaska Legislature

The Alaska State Senate has unanimously approved a bill that would create an electronic health information exchange system. Alaska's Department of Health and Social Services expects to request $25 million in federal stimulus funding to pay for the system, which is estimated to cost $27.5 million.
